It is not at all necessary to fly to the southern hemisphere to go on a soundwalk in Madagascar. We proved this during two lectures held on 11 December 2024 at the University of Wroclaw Institute of Musicology and on 14 January 2025 at the Adam Mickiewicz University Institute of Musicology. Over the course of an hour, we took the audience on a sonic tour along the trail of our expedition – from hustling Antananarivo to the picturesque island of Sainte-Marie and to the national park in Andasibe full of singing lemurs. If you were unable to attend these events, nothing lost! Check out the photo report from the Wroclaw lecture and the recording of the broadcast from the Poznan lecture.
