Un autre exemple de pratique traditionnelle malgache est le&nbsp;<em>famadihana<\/em>&nbsp;(localement&nbsp;<em>okatrarana<\/em>), l&rsquo;exhumation rituelle des restes humains avec r\u00e9inhumation. Nous avons eu l&rsquo;occasion d&rsquo;observer cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie dans le village d&rsquo;Ambatorao, dans la partie nord de l&rsquo;\u00eele Sainte-Marie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement s&rsquo;ouvre et se cl\u00f4t officiellement par une&nbsp;<em>kabary<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 un discours public prononc\u00e9 par un groupe d&rsquo;anciens du clan (famille ou village). Au cours de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, qui est l&rsquo;une des plus anciennes traditions malgaches, les restes d&rsquo;un homme enterr\u00e9 il y a cinq ans \u00e9taient d\u00e9terr\u00e9s. Le rituel repr\u00e9sente l&rsquo;\u00e9tape finale du passage de l&rsquo;esprit du d\u00e9funt dans l&rsquo;au-del\u00e0 et consiste \u00e0 retirer les os de la terre, \u00e0 les envelopper dans un&nbsp;<em>lamba<\/em>&nbsp;(tissu traditionnel) blanc pur et \u00e0 les d\u00e9poser dans un sarcophage en b\u00e9ton avec du rhum, du parfum, de l&rsquo;argent et d&rsquo;autres objets. Au cours de ce rituel, les restes des autres d\u00e9funts \u00e9taient \u00e9galement transf\u00e9r\u00e9s des sarcophages en bois vers les sarcophages en b\u00e9ton. Cette activit\u00e9 ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9e que pendant le&nbsp;<em>famadihana<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 la visite du cimeti\u00e8re dans d&rsquo;autres circonstances est taboue. L&rsquo;esprit du d\u00e9funt (<em>lolo<\/em>) est actif et peut \u00eatre dangereux pour les vivants. Elle a un caract\u00e8re joyeux \u2013 les c\u00e9l\u00e9brations comprennent des danses, des chants, la consommation d&rsquo;alcool et l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration au sens le plus large. Cette atmosph\u00e8re accompagne \u00e0 la fois les c\u00e9r\u00e9monies qui se d\u00e9roulent dans le cimeti\u00e8re et la procession qui se dirige en direction de la maison du d\u00e9funt, o\u00f9 se termine la partie officielle de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie. Ensuite, les fid\u00e8les continuent \u00e0 faire la f\u00eate toute la nuit, \u00e9puisant le stock d&rsquo;alcool accumul\u00e9 par la famille du d\u00e9funt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans la culture malgache, la mort ne repr\u00e9sente pas la fin de l&rsquo;existence humaine \u2013 les morts sont \u00ab\u00a0toujours vivants\u00a0\u00bb et peuvent influencer le bien-\u00eatre des descendants. Le culte des\u00a0<em>razana<\/em>\u00a0(anc\u00eatres) et de leur terre s&rsquo;exprime dans les diff\u00e9rentes activit\u00e9s de la vie quotidienne et organise l&rsquo;attitude vis-\u00e0-vis du monde qui les entoure ; m\u00eame ceux qui quittent Madagascar souhaitent revenir\u00a0<em>ad fontes<\/em>\u00a0et \u00eatre enterr\u00e9s sur leur terre natale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
